Shaun Young - Red hot daddy

Shaun Young est membre du célèbre trio texan de rockabilly traditionnel The High Noon, l'album Red Hot Daddy est un projet solo de Young.

Les 14 titres de cet album ont été enregistrée au studio Jet-Tone (Austin - Texas -USA) sauf Rickety shack enregistré en Finlande. On peut notre que 11 des titres sont des compositions originales de Shaun  (soit Red Hot Daddy, She still loves me, If i can't be a lover i don't want to, What's the deal Jack?, Phamtom rock and roll, Hey, flat get it, The end is near, How can i turn her away, Beg, steal and borrow, Foolish pride, Right here, right now and forever & Rickety shack.
mettant en avant son influence du rockabilly primitif, du Western swing et du hillbilly bop.

Durant les sessions texanes de 1997 on peut noter la présence de Kevin Smith à la contrebasse, Chris Miller à la steel guitare, Derik Peterson à la guitare solo et Lisa Pankratz à la batterie.  L'album quand à lui sort en 2003 sur Goofin' records.
